Are you interested in a Hygiene Manager position for a fast growing and prestigious food manufacturer based in NW London? This is a day shift position, Monday to Friday 0830 to 1700 paying up to £40,000.

We're seeking a leader to become this manufacturers Hygiene Manager who is comfortable leading a team of 30 Hygiene and cleaning staff within a fast paced manufacturing environment. This company can offer you genuine autonomy and opportunity to challenge and change current operations and make a difference. The management have been implementing a cultural change with great success and fundamentally they seek a manager who has integrity, resilience, is forward thinking and really wants to improve and develop the Hygiene Operations at this site.

As a successful company they supply into all the major high street supermarkets such as M&S, Lidl, Aldi, Tesco's, Sainsburies etc and are very well established with a growing presence.

As a Hygiene Manager you will ultimately be accountable for maintaining food safety standards that spans across 3 shifts over their 24 hour 6 day a week operation. Initially you’ll want to work across the various shifts to gain a full comprehension of the hygiene and production operations so that you can forge good relationships with production and understand the sites operation.

What do I need? You'll naturally be an honest and excellent communicator, a manager who can quickly grasp customer requirements, demonstrate good leadership skills, hold people management skills and be flexible.

You will come from the food manufacturing / production industry and have a good understanding of BRC global standards.  You'll have sound knowledge of manufacturing processes and legislation with a good comprehension of health and safety standards to adhere to, i.e GMP and HACCP. You'll be tasked with internal auditing and making sure your Hygiene team adhere to strict cleaning schedules, records are up to date as well as leading their development.
