Senior Management Accountant – Global Industry Leading Business

Salary £60,000-65,000pa + 27% annual bonus + good pension

A fantastic opportunity to join a leading FTSE 250 business based in East London as a Senior Management Accountant. This business is amongst the top 3 industry competitors globally and successfully expanding through innovation in growing market sectors. This will be a critical role for the organisation and would suit an ambitious, driven individual with excellent technical skills that is looking for a career defining opportunity.

Overview of duties:

• Ensure that the Management Accounts are delivered to reporting deadlines and are of a high quality with all key variances to comparatives analysed and communicated
• Key role in the production of a monthly finance pack to be distributed to all key senior stakeholders
• Take full ownership of selected units, Cost of Sales, Central and CAPEX cost areas
• Ensure an end-to- end understanding of cost drivers and KPIs's and deliver insightful analysis and commentary on all key variances to drive performance
• Including presentations to FD/FC/Procurement/Operations
• Budgeting/forecasting ownership of all relevant cost lines
• Ensure that all necessary accounting adjustments are posted each month and the divisions risk & opportunities and latest forecast is understood and closely monitored
• Ensure that relevant Balance Sheet reconciliations are properly controlled and reviewed to agreed deadlines with all reconciling items investigated and resolved promptly
• Ensure group reporting requirements are completed within required deadlines and to a high standard
• High quality presentations as part of planning processes explaining variances to comparatives and delivered to required group deadlines
• Support the FC/FD/CFO on merger, integration, systems implementation and ad-hoc analysis and reporting as required
• Take full ownership in the preparation of deliverables for the annual audit and be a key contact for the internal and external auditors during the audit process
• Ownership and management of the fixed asset register including CAPEX policies, WIP accounts and depreciation calculations
• Working with group finance on ERP systems to make continuous improvements and ensure best practise is driven across the business
• Manage and develop direct reports
