Global manufacturing business that is presently one of the best performing businesses in Sussex is seeking a highly commercially astute and analytically skilled individual to join them as a Senior Commercial Business Analyst. This individual will lead the analysis and forecasting function within the finance team in an autonomous, pivotal role for them. They will report directly to a qualified Head of Finance and CFO, and manage cross-functional relationships across sales, operations and finance. They will identify and provide insightful management information to guide key commercial business decisions that have a tangible impact on the organisation's performance.

Overview of duties:

• Strengthen the organisation's ability to forecast sales demand on a monthly and annual basis
• Detailed margin analyses by product and market
• Modelling work to support acquisitions and organic growth
• Analyse price sensitivity to support price changes
• Work with the Sales Director to design an efficient bonus scheme for sales team
• Work with the Operations Director to provide analytical insight for Lean Manufacturing projects
• Maintain up to date knowledge of data sources, evaluating their credibility and potential utility, and leverages them across the company where appropriate
• Run queries on own data and performance analysis to support decision making process
• Gather and evaluate relevant market and competitor information to review market position and determine threats
• Monthly sales reporting by interrogating multiple reporting systems, update the monthly management information pack to a strict deadline and support the finance team in the management accounts reporting process.
• Assist with stock reconciliation issues working on ways to improve the verification and valuation
• Ad hoc analyses for CEO, CFO and stakeholders
