An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Audit & Accounts Manager to join the audit team of a top 20 ranked firm at their office in Guildford, Surrey.

The Guildford office is a 5-10 minute walk from Guildford train station and a 5 minute walk into the town centre.

About You:

• Hold an accountancy qualification either CA, ACA or ACCA
• Currently be working in an accountancy practice looking to make that step up to a bigger firm with better clients or possibly just a change of scenery!
• Be in an audit biased role but to have an understanding and experience of accounts production with a broad tax knowledge
• Experienced of leading the audit process from planning, completion, and to review, maintaining open and clear communication with the client and internally to Partners
• Have first class presentation and communication skills in this client facing role
• Able to demonstrate the highest technical standards trusted to manage projects
• Play an active role in the development and mentoring of junior staff
• Experience with Sage 50 Accounts and Xero is advantageous
• Ideally you would have some experience with charity and academy audits

About the role:

• Management of all the client work for the audit and accounts department
• Responsible for managing the budgets and planning for each audit
• Work closely with the Directors and Partners
• Review completed audits and some corporate tax returns
• Attend client meetings both on and off site
• Undertake a range of special projects
• Identify cross selling opportunities and get involved with business development
• Responsible for supervising and training the team
