Loan Underwriting Administrator
Farnham
£18-20k plus benefits

The Loan Underwriting Administrator will be responsible for approving all self-assessment advances and loans. The role involves ensuring all advances and loans have been correctly underwritten before being handed back to Sales for processing. The position involves communicating with individuals across a broad range of levels from HMRC to agencies and subcontractors.
· Contacting HMRC to check the status of our clients' self-assessment accounts
· Liaising with subcontractors and agencies to obtain statement of earnings for clients, requesting payslips and pay data
· Verifying payslips and bank statements
· Validating all sales calculations, ensuring all figures are entered accurately and amending figures if necessary
· Ensuring all checklists have been meticulously completed from start to finish and updated in the client's record
· Ensuring client records are kept up-to-date with the agreed loan amount
· Making sure all calls with HMRC are logged and saved onto the system
· All documents must be validated in a timely fashion and data analysis completed to a high standard
· Attend meetings to discuss loans and other relevant matters

Essential:
· Prior experience within an administrative and customer service role
· Must have a methodical and analytical approach to data analysis
· Clear telephone manner and clear listening skills
· Good IT skills – Microsoft Excel and an ability to use complex bespoke systems
Desirable:
· Prior experience within the financial services industry highly preferable
· Experience of working with HMRC
· Knowledge of VAT and Personal Tax
· Experience of dealing with loans

Hours: 8.30am – 5.30pm with 1 hour for lunch (Mon-Thurs) and 8.30am – 5.00pm with 30 minutes for lunch (Fri)
