Institute of Arts and Humanities Hourly paid up to 43.68 per hour Fixed-Term contract from September 2022 to January 2023 Total of 72 hours across one semester We are a successful, modern university with clear values and a long history in Higher Education. The Institute of Arts and Humanities has a successful BA Medieval and Early Modern History degree that takes a student-centred, supportive approach to teaching and learning. The department is currently seeking an Associate Lecturer to teach two undergraduate modules. This temporary post has arisen due to the recent retirement of a colleague. These are: ‘England in Europe c.1154-1400, an introduction to the Late Medieval World’ (Level 4 – first year) ‘Kingship, Queenship and Power in Late Medieval and Early Modern Europe’ (Level 6 – third year) The successful postholder(s) will have a good relevant postgraduate/doctoral degree in History. You will foster creative approaches to learning and teaching, with the ability to develop appropriate resources for the University’s Virtual Learning Environment (VLE). The start date for this position will be in September 2022.
