- Community and Events Fundraising - Medium and Low-level Gift Fundraising Are you passionate about fundraising? Have you developed a successful career as a fundraiser? We need professional fundraisers, ideally with teaching experience either in higher education or professional training. Your teaching will draw on your professional knowledge and skills, as well as: third-sector studies; sociology; economics; psychology; marketing; general business and management, as relevant. Your knowledge and experience could help develop, much needed, skilled fundraisers. The Charity Development and Arts Development BA (Hons.) programmes cover a very wide range of fundraising theory and knowledge. Our aim is to develop highly skilled graduates who are able to critically evaluate, independently research, think creatively, and apply theory to deliver exceptional outcomes for the third-sector. Many of our graduates are already working for leading UK charities, including: Guide Dogs for the Blind; Water Aid: WWF-UK; The Children’s Society; Girls Friendly Society; Maggie’s (Southampton) You will be expected to reference academic research and published materials in your teaching. You will also deliver active, engaging learning opportunities, through a combination of lectures, workshops and online resources. We place importance on soft skills and many modules require group work and development of communications skills. We are currently seeking Associate Lecturers to deliver one, or more, 36-hour modules. Teaching is across academic levels 4 to 6 (first to third year) in the 2022-23 academic year. All modules require on-campus delivery over 10 sessions of 2.5 hours. Teaching starts October 2022. Modules cover a wide range of fundraising disciplines and we aim to match lecturers to their area of expertise.
