We are excited to offer the opportunity for an Event
Intern to join the Goodwood team for a year.
Running from September 2025, we will be offering a unique
opportunity for someone to join the Event division which is made up of
the teams that are at the heart of delivering our spectacular headline
events - Festival of Speed, Goodwood Revival, Members'
Meeting, Qatar Goodwood Festival (QGF), and more recently Goodwoof.
The opportunity is open to students, recent graduates, and those
looking for an opportunity to build experience ahead of a career in
events, potentially at Goodwood! We welcome applications from students
studying any degree subject but all candidates must have a passion for
the events industry.
In this exciting and fast-paced role, every day will be
different. After spending time in a number of departments for the
first few months, you will then join the team who are responsible for
planning and delivering our newest event - Goodwoof. Your final
placement will be with the Goodwood Racecourse team where you'll play
a key role at our Three Friday Night fixtures and then the world
famous Qatar Goodwood Festival (affectionately known as 'glorious
Goodwood'). You will gain exposure of the planning, operations,
logistics, and content curation involved in delivering world class
events, and you will leave with an abundance of experience.
The role is fixed term, available from the beginning of September
2025 through to September 2026 (or a shorter period but latest start
date 3rd November and until at least 14th August). Due to the nature
of events and the requirements of this role, holiday will not be
permitted on the following dates: 28th April - 23rd May; 2nd June -
20th June; and 21st July - 8th August. Unfortunately, we are unable
to progress with any candidates who wish to take holiday within these
dates. There may be exceptions made for individual date requests for
graduation and other similar life events. Please specify these
requests in your application.
The normal working hours will be 40 hours per week, Monday to
Friday, with extended hours and some weekend working required in the
lead up to each of the events.
"The last year of my life has been one of the most important in my personal and professional growth. I have experienced the brilliance of Goodwood in all its glory and have witnessed and contributed to the fantastic work that goes into putting on some of the most spectacular events in the country. Working with highly skilled people, who are at the top of their game, has allowed me to further understand my own strengths, weaknesses and personal interests within the events industry and therefore begin to carve out a career for myself. The staff at Goodwood are deeply knowledgeable and have provided a fantastic support system to aid my learning, making the process of joining the various teams around the estate a seamless one." - Joe, 2024/25 Intern
